Andrew Tan
Andrew is a fully registered Psychologist with a Masters Degree in Professional Psychology from Curtin University. He works with both children and adults with an eclectic, evidence-based approach centered on deliberate practice. Whilst he enjoys working with adults, he is also our resident Child Psychologist, providing both neurodevelopmental assessments and therapeutic interventions for kids with behavioural, emotional, adjustment and attachment issues.
His particular focus is on helping the child-parent-family-school interaction nexus, via play-based Dyadic-Behavioural Therapy, CBT, ACT and Schema Therapy, to create greater harmony based on communication and understanding. He utilizes evidence-driven methods within an over-arching practical and warm-hearted approach, which is also neuro-affirming and LGBTQ+ friendly.
Andrew can help with anxiety, depression, adjustment and sleep issues in particular. He provides comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments and NDIS application reports for autism spectrum conditions (as well as ADHD, intellectual delay and specific learning disorders), and he also provides therapeutic supports for these conditions.
At our clinic, which is very family-friendly, we find that kids and families love working with Andrew: you can embark on a healing journey to achieve renewed and deeper understanding of yourself and others, with practical solutions to complex issues, conducted safely in an atmosphere of relaxed fun and care.
